Thanksgiving Preps...

Tables set up for Turkey day... I think last count we were at 22-ish. The "ish" leaves this an open invitation, so if you can come, please do!
I was cordially informed this week that I will be the black sheep of my family... as they will all be in Yuma for Turkey, all except for me. :-( I do have a notion however, that as much as I will miss every one of them... that I will have a great time with my newest family!

More tables...
Gram, these leaves are from the dollar store..., you'd be so proud! Oh, and there are dried apricots from Tom and Audrey in the colander... snacks for Thursday!
Also, I made cupcakes tonight for the kids to decorate... mmm
I think that about sums up this Sunday evening!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all that I can't spend it with!

Ditto to Cara's comment! That is awesome and impressive you are having Thanksgiving at your place!! So exciting I bet!! Do you have lots of people helping out with the meal? I can't wait to have a big Holiday dinner at our place too! Your place (if it is the same one!)looks very different than the time I was in it! Looks like married life is treating you great! -Maria Siegel (used to be Greenway) just in case :)

Thanks maria! Yes, most of Peter's sisters are coming, and of course helping out immensly with the meal!
I think we're probably in a different place now... are you remembering San Diego? We live in The Dalles, OR... about 70 miles east of Portland. :) Come visit if you're ever up our way! We LOVE visitors!

No, I wonder if you remember the time I came up for a girls weekend to Portland? I think that was the first weekend you and Peter were "official"? Had a get together at the Brownings? We went over to Peter's house that Sunday I believe- when Brandon was living there. And it's a small world! My dad grew up with Peter's older sister! Nice you will have them to help out! My cousins- the Brownings- live up there so we might see you sometime! That would be fun!

Do you mean Brandon Forsythe? He didn't live with Peter... he lived with Justin Wicks... is that where you were? Boy, I don't even remember any of that! I think maybe I was a little lovestruck... :) It is a small world! But that sure makes it interesting. It's fun to find connections everywhere!

AH! Yes, that was Justin's house! You are right. And yes, that Brandon. LOL- you guys were lovestruck. I don't think anyone knew you were a couple until that night! Maybe you didn't even notice us girls there :) I think you had just recently started working in a new branch? Anyways, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thank you for not minding too much in being with us. We are glad to have you! It is hard that first holiday. The thanksgiving after Daniel was born - he was less than a month old - we were going to Orofino - we got to Walla Walla - 3 hours down the road and Loren said we have to go back - I'm too sick to go on. So we came back to The Dalles - I cried most of the way - I didn't really want to but it happened without control. I had been away from home many years by that time but wanting to be with everyone was especially strong that day. So it goes. We are glad to have you in our family.
