California Adventures...

Peter and I took a trip down to San Diego from the 7th - 16th to help my pops enter the next 1/2 century of his life in style. We had a great time acting like tourists!

Tuesday we went to Disneyland:
Dellas and Peter waiting for "Honey I shrunk the Audience" to openOh, Dellas will be so glad that I posted this!
Serious stuff
Peter and I waiting in line for the haunted house at Disneyland (which I might add used to be MUCH better than it is now!)
A not-so-centered self portrait of us 3 @ Disneyland
Friday we went on a bike ride downtown San Diego... 15+ miles!!! Crazy.
My sweet hubby
When we were biking down by SeaPort Village, one of the commercial fishermen was unloading his bounty for the day - He had a bunch of shark, ahi and another fish I can't remember just now...
USS Midway - Permanently docked in San Diego and converted into a Naval Museum
Famous sculpture downtown San Diego - it's HUGE!

Table centerpieces - we used a cowboy theme
Uncle Phil had this mesquite firewood bar-b-que hand-made for Dad
Uncle Phil brought up an amazing buffet! We had carne & pollo asada tacos with all the fixin's!
Dave wrote a great song about Dad and the rest of our family... I just love how he and Ron frame that metal sculpture on the wall! (Mom's playing the piano behind them...)
200 years of life experience in this photo! I'm so glad Sam and Mary were able to come!
Amy and Rob came too!!!
What a lovely family we are! ;-)
The week went by lightening fast - but it was SO great to have all our family together! And we surprised Dad so GOOD!
(Mom has a more detailed write-up on her blog of all the festivities...)

Dozer again...

Just another cute pic of our little retard... He looks guilty doesn't he?!My roses were completely opened up when we left for San Diego - not so much now...

Dozer again

This is one of his favorite spots to curl up... He especially likes it if you turn the sink on so he can drink from it. Just thought I'd share. :-)

More snow!

We took a "trip" up to our property on Saturday... It was so beautiful! We're at about 1900 feet, and had around 12" of snow. Mmm, pretty! My sweet, good lookin' hubby!
Our new tires did a good job! They were spitting snow chunks from the tread all the way home though!
The car and I <:-)
26 degrees... brrr!
Adios - I'm off to warm up.

iPhone Cover...

It says my name on the back... ;-)
I love it! :-)

Your turn?

Ok, we're tired of this cold now - anyone else want it?

We're in the awkward phase when you're well enough to go to work, but are completely drained and exhausted and back to sneezing, coughing and sniffling when you get home.

Not that I'm looking for sympathy or anything.

Here's Proof!

Remember in the last post I was mentioning how much entertainment the Top Ramen Noodles Box provides for Dozer? Now I'll show you!
First, he had to warm up - by resting! This is totally uncharacteristic of him... he's not a lap cat at all, but I guess tonight was the exception.
And we didn't even have to drug him this time! (even though it looks that way...)
Now, here's some proof of the box excitement:

By the end of his romping, he was panting, and ready for another cat nap.
What a life... :-)

Snow & Dozer

Again, this post is in no particular order...
Last night, it snowed! Dozer had his first touch, and that's about as far as he went. :-PThought this was kinda a neat picture - the quality isn't that great since it was with my phone, but interesting anyway!
Driving down the road in Hood River... It's hard to capture the snow on my camera phone, but it was sure dumping!
Who knew that a Top Ramen Noodle box could provide so much entertainment?! He LOVES the thing!
Snow on the deck...
It's beautiful outside today, plenty cold though. Peter and I are enjoying it from inside - we both have a nasty cold...

Thanksgiving Feast

I'm apologizing upfront - these photos are ALL candid shots... and not very good ones at that! But at least it's a snapshot of our day together. (In no particular order...)
Our crowd included: Peter & I, Tom & Audrey, Amy & Chantry, Mara & Steve, Jeff & Pam , Alanna & Lucy, Crystie, Kat & Jacque, Debbie & Ed, Kobe & Eddie, Jonna & Calvin & their little one Emidio!
Kobe explaining something to Steve & Peter... Lucy
Steve - (not sure what he's doing with his tongue... maybe he's hungry?!) :-)
Jeff carving away!
Kat - I love her glasses!
My sweet, sweet hubby!
Jacque... She has the biggest blue eyes!
My absolute, FAVORITE part of the meal... green bean casserole!
I attempted to make Baklava this year... There was maybe a little too much butter in it, but it was still quite tasty!
